Aart de Geus announces major gift to Levitt Pavilion San Jose in honor of his friend and bandmate, Former Valley Medical Foundation CEO Chris Wilder. The Levitt Pavilion Green Room will be named in Chris’s honor.
Synopsis CEO and Founder Aart de Geus is not shy about sharing his first passion - blues music.
While he is known for an illustrious career in tech, Aart is also a talented, passionate guitar player for the band Legally Blue. They’ve performed in venues around the Bay Area, including at San José’s own Summer Fest and the Fountain Blues Festival.
Aart understands that in order to have a thriving live music scene, people need places to go and artists need places to play.
That’s why Aart has stepped up with a $500,000 gift to help make Levitt Pavilion San José a reality.
Thanks to Aart’s generous gift, Levitt is one step closer to becoming San José’s premiere outdoor live music venue - offering 50 free, family-friendly shows a year…and perhaps a place for your band to play.
Aart is calling on Silicon Valley colleagues - musicians and music lovers - to join him and help Levitt get to the finish line. Levitt Pavilion San Jose is 88% funded. With your help, we will get a shovel in the ground next Summer.
